In 2001, an upstart NBA basketball team came to Memphis, TN to a collective yawn. But by 2011, this ragtag group of hard nosed players upset the No. 1 seeded San Antonio Spurs and a love affair between Memphis and the Grizzlies team began. With a Grit & Grind style of basketball led by "Grindfather" Tony Allen, this Southern basketball team exemplifies hard work.
Now our owners, originally from Memphis, bring this same commitment to hard work and quality, fresh products to 30a with "Grits & Grind" breakfast conveniently located on the west end of La Cocina Mexican Grill and Bar in Seacrest Beach, FL.

Erik Kellison - Executive Chef
Erik was born and raised in Bradenton, FL and started working in fine dining restaurants at the age of 14 in Sarasota, FL. He graduated from the American Culinary Academy in 2001. He also has a degree in recording arts from Full Sail University that stemmed from his love of music. His work experience includes being a corporate trainer for Hops Grill and Brewery, a kitchen manager for multiple ski lodges in Vermont, and chef for multiple restaurants in Sarasota, Orlando, and Tampa. His love for food stems from watching and helping his grandmother and mother in the kitchen while growing up. Both ladies had a strong influence in southern cooking, which transferred to Erik. He loves to share his culinary knowledge with everyone in the kitchen as well as his two beautiful daughters.
